Sure do. Since God's handbook for life warns about it a lot, it is real. I guess what I question is how much power do people have who practice black magic...but I do believe in the power of evil, posessions, demons, and things mentioned in the Bible.
Blessings,
Sheila

Oh I forgot to share experiences with it. As a teenager, my fiance didn't know about the dangers of Ouija boards, and one day came over shaking and crying and I asked why. He said that last night, he and his sister were playing with the Ouija board and asked a number of questions, and the Ouija board told them that their mother was going to be severely injured. They stopped playing with it because that scared them, then a couple of hours later their mom called from the hospital, she had broken her leg, the upper part, which is quite a serious injury. My fiance took the Ouija board and broke it in half and took it outside and burned it. Just before he had come to my house, the Ouija board was back in their dining room table, all in 1 piece, just burned around the edges. He was as white as a sheet and scared and shaking. I have also lived in a haunted house. We moved out within 2 months.

Hi Shiela,
Yes evil and all its manifestations are real. But they come from the evil one. Those who play with them usually gets burned and gets scarred for the rest of their lives. What is more sinister are the deceptive ones. They try to imitate Christ and even use His name to mislead others. They are more dangerous because they can cause a righteous person to fall into their trap. The only remedy against being misled is to engross one self with the words of God in the Bible. They will reveal the truth and truth will set us free. Thanks for your visit and very interesting anecdotes. God bless you always.

this is very interesting question, Mel^-^ I had thought of these too many times and asked myself if it could be real and if it is, would God allow it to happen to His great followers? I mean, these beliefs is very common in our culture. And it's really sad to know that some people practice and resort such acts:((

I believe it's the work of the devil. They are accounts in the Bible that there were magicians in King Nebuchadnezzar's reign and up to Jesus' time until to the apostles after Jesus' death.

Hi Shawie,
Yes I know what you mean. To your question whether God will allow harm to His children through black magic, the answer is, it depends to the level of faith of the believer. Those who concentrate on the potency of these black arts will surely feel their sting. But to Him whose focus is on God alone, no harm can ever befall him from these black magicians. Nothing can ever separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. The power of these evildoers is in their power of suggestion and fear. God's truth drives away all fears. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Bingkee,
Yes I agree with you that their works are from the devil. They do exist but their power is limited only to those who acknowledge them. To the true believer, their power is inutile. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

yes, i do. they are the works of the devil. i was so fond of fortune telling before and i knew when i became a Christian that this was a bondage that had to be broken. words that were uttered to me by those fortune tellers were broken, thank God! they sure had an effect in my life. but i thank God i'm free.

Hi sis Pia,
Good thing that you were able to break that bondage when you were born again. God is really good and will not let us suffer further bondage when we surrender our lives to Him. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
