Do You Drink?

Do you drink? If yes, what is your favorite drink? Have you gotten so drunk in your life that you forgot what transpired when you were drunk? If you don't drink, please explain the reason why?

I don't drink anymore so when I go to my hubby's gigs I order Coke or iced tea instead. Never any beer or liquor. When I was younger and haven't been accepted the Lord Jesus, I drink sometimes because I was young and carefree. And to tell you the truth, I got so drunk one time that I never knew how I got home until my friends told me. I puked in my friend's car , slept inside and then next thing I knew I woke up in our hotel room, still having a hang-over. I rushed to the bathroom, where I puked more and when in my thoughts, I felt relief, went back to bed . Few minutes later, I had to stand up and rush to the baathroom again to puke. It's true that I was kneeling over the toilet bowl , hugging it so I can puke and puke. After that I swore I would never drink gin tonic again. The thing is we all drank gin tonic with tequila....that's a "deadly " mixture and most of my friends were so drunk.

I used to drink a lot in college. Every weekend there were parties. I always remembered what would happen. My roomate would "black out" a lot. That is scary, I never would drink that much that I didn't remember what happened. Someone at my college actually died from drinking too much.

Our drink of choice in college was vodka mixed with just about anything.

Once I had kids my whole attitude changed. I barely drink at all now.

nope, I don't drink...probably because my father does and it always becomes a fight between my Mom who doesn't drink at all...I had a different orientation about it but I don't see anything wrong with drinking as long as it's in moderation. I never even had a time in my life that I was really drunk and hate seeing a lady that's really drunk, grrrr... I lost my respect to that person but some people find their joys in alcohol and it's their way of getting away from their own emotional turmoil, a temporary escape...

Hi Bingkee,
Yes, those were lessons we learned when we were still unsaved. But now it's different. We live our lives for the Lord and drinking is already a no no. Thanks for your visit and interesting comments. God bless you always.

Hi Shawie,
Good for you. I'm really aghast whenever I see a lady drinking too much. It's really unbecoming. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

I don't drink beyond the occasional glass of wine. I just don't have a taste for alcohol. I don't like it. I only like sweet wines like Sangria or Zinfandel.

Hi Mom,
I guess it does not hurt to drink socially but with mild ladies drinks. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

No. Before I tried it, I thought I could not stand not being in control of my thoughts and actions. Then I thought I would try it just once to see what it felt like, and I could not get drunk! Later a Dr. explained to me that there are some people like that who do not get high with alcohol or some drugs, they do not have what's called "an addictive gene". He also said that sadly, that addictive gene can run in families and even in certain races, such as native americans, so if someone in your family had an addiction problem, you should not even try it once, or you will be addicted.
