In The Face Of Intolerance, Do You Stand Your Ground And Fight For What Is Right Or Do You Just Give Way To Maintain Peace?

In the face of intolerance and stonewalling from others, do you stand your ground and fight for what you think is right or do you just give way to maintain a semblance of peace?

I have spoken out (usually too loudly) about intolerance and unfairness ever since I was a little girl. It has gotten me into trouble many times, but I would not have changed any of it, and I continue to defend the underdog even online, even if I am not a member of the underdog's group. That is the subject of my short temper...injustice, bullying, intolerance, wow, don't get me started. lol.

Hi Shiela,
I believe you. You were born with a heart that is beating for the lowly and downtrodden. That has put you into lots of troubles though. Anyway, we choose our own paths in life. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

I usually give way when I know that nothing good will result to a an argument but when natatapakan na ang pagkatao ko, I fight!

Hi Rose,
That's how I see your character. Like most Pinay, one would normally give way to maintain peace but when pushed against the wall, one would stand up and fight for her rights. Atta girl. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

I'm always the assertive person so I always speak and fight for what is right. That's why I get into trouble a lot of times. Ever since I was a kid, I was always like that. I hated to see "wrong things" and oppression, so I fought and defended what is right. At this age, I am mellowing a bit but I'm still the assertive person who constantly talks about the truth , even if it hurts.

Most people know that I 'm a fiercely assertive person ---an extreme of my sweet personality. When I know that I have to stand and fight for what is right, I do it. I do not hesitate to express what's wrong and what should be done to make it right. And people often mistaken me for being a bitch because of this. But I don't care because I know I am right. I just don't fight for nothing or something trivial....I fight for what is right.

I tried, but I'm easily defeated Sir Mel. But what my Mama said, "To win an arguement is to avoid it." So that's what I'm doing.

Hi MelCole,
Your mother is so right. When I was in Marketing, we have a saying that says, you win an argument, you lose a client. There is humility in deliberately losing an argument. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.
