TO LIVE IN ORDER TO PLEASE GOD AND TO GIVE GLORY TO HIS NAME.
The more you can read the scriptures, and put the things you learn into action in your life, the better your life as a Christian will be. I also think the most important thing to do in the first place, is to pray and tell the Lord that you want to know Him personally, as personally as you know people here on earth. You tell Him you are sorry for anything you have done wrong, and ask Him to guide you and be with you in the future. You ask Him to come into your heart, and your heart will be filled with such a warmth and overwhelming feeling, you will truly understand why Christians are so committed, and so "in love" with the Savior's love. Most of all, we need to take time to listen for "the still small voice" when we pray, not to just talk to God then get up and leave. Why pray and ask for guidance if you don't listen for an answer? There are so many dozens of things we can do to make our walk as Christians better, but those were my starting points. Mel, do you read from an English Bible, or a Filipino one, or both? Hi Rose, It is not a matter of whether we commit a wrong but a matter of confessing those wrongs to God. Unconfessed sins are signs of pride wherein we don't want to humble ourselves before God. I know you are good, you just have to align yourself with God's will in your life. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.
Hi Shiela, You articulated them all. What is important is that we have an intimate relationship with the Lord and that we do His will in our lives. Next year my wife will petition my two youngest children and that will free me to do evangelistic works again among the poorest of the poor in our province. I am reading the English Bible for my quiet time and the Filipino Bible when I am teaching in a house cell group (Bible study). I miss interacting with people and I'm excited again to partake of the Great Commission. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
For me, to become a good follower must follow HIS rules and putting it into action. Am not that good follower but am trying, so hard. Thanks for sharing Kuya Mel. I so love the pic with a dog closing on its eyes.

I don't know if I am a good Christian...I leave the judging upon God. I don't want to set the line where I can say I am a good Christian because it may not be enough or may not be what really what God wants me to be. If I limit myself on certain conditions that I can say I am a good Christian then I won't grow. All I can say, Christians should never be confess with their mouth one thing and then do another thing. It's hypocrisy. I also think good Christians are the ones who are the happiest people whose joy and mirth always show because they know they have pleased God and that God loves them. After all, isn't God a happy God when He knows we're happy with Him.
Hi Bingkee, It's not about judging one's self but answering the question of how can we become good Christians. Yes, true judging comes from God but a Christian can also confess that he is a good Christian because he does the will of God in his life. All good Christians have that inherent joy in his heart. First o f all you have to make a beginging - be born again. Christianity is not a mere religion- it is a relationship.
Find a good Bible based church - felowship.
Read the Bilbe, pray.
Learn from the saints.
Its the walk of a lifetime.
Be a doer of the Word an d not merely a hearer - put faith into action
