Your Last 24 Hours To Live

The doctor told you that you have only one more day to live because of a very terminal illness. How would you spend the last 24 hours of your life? Please explain your answer.

On my last day, I would make sure to have my husband and son with me. We would sit in our yard with our dog and cat and just talk and hold hands and hug and look at pictures and eat our favorite goodies and keep looking at eachother, memorizing one another's faces. Toward the very end of the day, the three of us would cuddle on my bed, holding eachother tightly. The last thing I would see is their faces, last thing I would smell is their sweet skin and hair, last thing I would taste is my husband's kiss, last thing I would feel is my son's hand in mine, and last thing I would hear is them telling me they love me.

I am in tears at the thought...

Hi Cassy,
Oh Cassy, you brought tears to my eyes. I could sense the sudden surge of emotions and feelings as you wrote this comment. How great is your love for one another. God has blessed you so much with an abundance of love, care and tenderness for one another. May you express that kind of emotion and tenderness to your husband and son always. Sometimes, we take things for granted until we realize that nothing last forever in this world and it will be wise for each of us to show and tell our loved ones how greatly and tenderly we love them. Oh thank you so much for this emotional comment. You just made my day my friend. God bless you and your family with all the riches and happiness that God can bring to all of you.

If I am healthy enough, I will write emails to all the important people in my life. And blog!

24 hours? just that? it's hard to actually live and set aside the awareness of my death (yeah, my death), wow, i'd probably just laugh my way through the death. really, i don't know. :)

I'll spend half the day praising God for a wonderful life spent in the world and half a day talking and hugging and kissing all my loved ones--talking about the beautiful times we spent together.
I praise God thanking Him for the life I have had and because I'm about to enter in His kingdom. The other half of the day is with loved ones because I want them to remember that I am happy living this life on earth with them as much as I would be happy living with God in heaven.

I would spend the day with my boys and just soaking in their every move, cuddling them, and as I took my last breath they would be the last thing I would see.

Hi Solitaire,
You are really a born writer. Even at the last hours of your life you still have time to write. Well, to each his own pleasure. Thanks for the visit and your viewpoint on the subject matter. God bless.

Hi Caca,
You're still too young so that you don't have any awareness of death. That's good. Enjoy your life while you're still young. Time lost can never be retrieved again. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless.

Hi Tammy,
You really love your sons so much. It is really a bittersweet experience to leave them alone when we finally leave. We entrust them to the all embracing arms of our God. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you and your loved ones always my friend.

I will spend it with my family and close friends. I will speak to them one by one tell how much I love and appreciate the kindness and love they've shown me. I will give my journals (I've been keeping one since I was 12) to my husband and ask him to give it to our eldest child on his/her 18th birthday.

Hi Mel...I know I'm going to heaven because Jesus promises us , those who believe and trust Him shall go to heaven. Everyone is assured of heaven when they keep faith in Him, trust Him and live in His ways.

"No one goes to the father except through Me"-meaning, only those who are trusting in Jesus and living through His ways go to heaven.

Hi Wendy,
Those are memorable moments you will be spending with your loved ones. You sure value your written works so much that you will give it to your husband for posterity. The question on this post makes us pause and think for a while about our real priorities in life. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless. Please take care of yourself and your baby too.
