How Do You Describe Your Parents?

How do you describe your parents, your mother and your father? How is your relationship with them? Would you bring up your kids the way you were brought up by your parents?

I describe my father as a very strict and disciplinary one while my mother was very loving, patient and thoughtful. I bet they had a lot of misunderstanding but I’m so proud to say that they're never fight in front of us. Yes, I apply some of the ways that our parents were brought us up but I don’t believe in spanking. My siblings and I got a lot of it when were young so that’s why probably I don’t want my daughter to experience it. :-)

Hi Sam,
Your parents were balanced in their upbringing of you and your siblings. The Bible said, spare the rod, spoil the child. A little spanking when a child is already unruly and uncontrollable is not bad so long as it is done with love and care. What is bad is when we spank our kids out of an emotional outburst and the kid is really hurt badly. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

My parents were so different in many ways but the most important thing that they have in common is the LOVE for us, their children. When I was young, my mother was the one that would spank or pinch me when I have done wrong but my father never spank me. During teenage years, my father was so strict especially to me and my mother became so understanding as she understood how it is to be a teenager. Nevertheless, I love them both, for guiding us and giving us all they can. Wish my father is still here so he could se my kids but that's life. Sorry Kuya, nageemote na naman ako dito, nacarried away sa topic hehehe.

Sensya na if madalang makavisit, laging busy na naman outside, gardening and stuff. Hope you guys are great out there. Happy Easter to you and your family!

Hi Rose,
Yes, I was surprised that you had that long and very honest answer. That proves that you consider me a friend for letting out your emotions. And I really appreciate that. Whatever the situations were, your parents have guided and tended you very well as evidenced by your great resolve in life that you are now transferring to your kids. I say you have a wonderful and very balanced family life. Thanks for your visit and great comments. God bless you all always.
