There is a cake that is rolled up to look like a log of wood that people burn in a fireplace. Its a tradition for Christmas for many N. Anericans. My Dad owned the dairy in town, so we got any flavor of ice cream that was made. Usually we ate the cake with one of the 3 flavors only made at Christmas. Candy cane, or eggnog, or pumpkin pie flavored. I had a wonderful childhood.

In India, Christmas Day lunch is important.

On Christmas eve we have home made pizza - it was my parent' s wedding anniversary

Hi Tocayo,
Wow, that's really yummy. I have not tried almonds with glaze ham before. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Back there Mel my favorite is my sister's Sotanghon. She cooks Sotonghon or Bihon really good. But here I don't have any favorite so far because my brother in law or my sister-in-law served different dishes every year. Christmas here is just like an ordinary day we're all asleep every Christmas eve. :-/ Well, honestly I do really miss our Christmas and New Year celebration there Mel.

Hi Sam,
Christmas celebration in the Philippines, especially in the provinces, is probably one of the best in the world. It's a mixture of spiritual and social event celebrated by everybody, even the poorest of the poor. Too bad you just sleep Christmas eve there. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Hi sis Pia,
Beef stroganoff is really very yummy. But I'm sure your dad can no longer cook it for Christmas because he is still sick. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
