How Do You React When Your Baby Is Sick?

How do you react when your baby is sick?

Praying for baby Erika Bjorlin. Have you found out what caused the rash yet? Prayiing for Japan.

I would much rather suffer 10 times than watch my babies/children suffer. When my first baby was about 1, she figured out how to open the whole bottle of baby aspirin, and ate them all. We rushed her to the hospital and she fought so hard, it took 2 nurses and me to hold her down while the Dr. tried to get an IV needle into her tiny veins. I can take any kind of pain myself, but next thing I knew, I was laying on the bed next to my baby. I had passed out watching her suffer so much and the nurses just put me on the bed beside her.
My second baby was like the top picture in your post. She was only 3 pounds (1360 grams), and I was there with her about 16 hours a day for 3 months while she was in the hospital growing. She wasn't suffering, just growing. She was the healthiest premature baby in the nursery, so we were very blessed. It was so hard to see the other parents suffer as they watched their very sick, permanently damaged babies day by day. That's a good question Mel! You think of some good ones!
Bless you!

Hi Shiela,
I was teary eyed when I read your comments. I was so touched by your willingness to suffer 10 times more instead of your baby/ies. That incident wherein your baby swallowed a bottle of aspirin was really shocking to say the least. Great that both you and your child overcame that horrendous trial. I could never believe all the things that happened to your life if you had not related them to us. Your life was so surreal than most best thought novels. I can only hope that God has great plans for you in this life. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Whenever one of my burritos is sick Kuya, I worried so much and like Shiela, I also wish na ako na lang ang maysakit. It is so hard to see your baby suffer lalo na pag maliit pa lang..

Ano pala kuya ang problema ng anak ni Janet? Bihira kasi ako makabloghop kaya di masyado updated sa mga happenings in blogland..

Thank you so much for your frequent visit and comments..

Hi Rose,
That's how mommies feel everywhere when their babies are sick. Erika has reddish rashes in her entire face and Janeth was already panicking. Praise the Lord that it was nothing serious and is being treated now with antibiotics. I think it's allergy related. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Hi Dhemz,
Yes, Akesha is God's precious gift to you and Greg and so He ordained that she would live. Like any other mommy, you are so devastated and always panic when your darling daughter is sick. Entrust her to the Lord and He will take care of her. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Hi Shy,
Yes, a mother's heart can not see her child sick or in pain. She would rather suffer the pain herself than her precious baby. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.
