How Will You React If God Gave You Extreme Pain?

How will you react if God gave you extreme pain? Will you blame Him for your pain?

Mel, you have extreme chronic pain, I'd like to know your opinion on the subject. Since I have it too, you ask "how would I react". What choice do we have but to pray for strength and patience, and ask God for help hour by hour? It always amazes me that after so many years of pain, we don't get used to it. The human body seems able to adjust to almost every other change. When there is not enough food, our metabolism slows down. When we are hot, we sweat to cool us down. We have adjusted to a fast changing world and culture, and we get used to it, but we never get used to pain. So frustipating. (One of my silly words. lol) Bless you,
Sheila

Oh! Forgive me for posting twice. I just how saw the second half of your question "Will you blame Him for your pain". Before I just saw "How will you react". I've been taught that God does not give us pain, but if it comes from disease or man-made causes, or even if it comes from Satan, sometimes God allows it to stay, to teach us things and to teach others who love us certain lessons. Other times he allows us to heal. Life is a school, and pain is a crash course in learning the virtues of patience, compassion, endurance, strength, and closeness with your creator.

Hi Shiela,
I never focus on the pain but on the promises of God. No matter how painful I feel in my body, I know at the back of my mind that God will ease the pain one way or the other and He always does. I have complete trust in the Lord that is why I got used to the pain and even on the trials. I just focus my sight on the day He will fetch me and wipe the tears in my eyes. In the meantime I try to do His will to the best of my ability. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Shiela,
Of course we can never ever blame God for our pain although He allows that to happen to us for His own sovereign purpose. I never ever question His purpose for everything in life. I just bow down to His divine sovereignty over my life. And He always provides for all my needs, even my healing. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Dhemz,
That is right, we should not blame God for the wrong things that happen in our lives. Most of them are results of our own wrongdoing and God allows them to happen to reform us. I'm so excited to see what I won. Praise the Lord and thank you for this unexpected bounty. I will go to your blog to see what I won. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

You are so wise, Mel. I appreciate your comments. Yes, I can say that every day I think of the future when we will be with Him, and then the day we will be resurrected in healthy, strong bodies. That thought does help me.
When we look at the chapter of Job, it shows that God allowed Satan to cause the suffering, God didn't cause it, so that is a comfort to me too, so that I never have to ask "Why did God give me this?" Because the scriptures say HE DIDN'T! But like Job and like all of those that Jesus healed, there was a divine purpose for the suffering, like you say. He does have a reason for it.
You're right too, to say He provides our needs. Not always our wants, but our needs, and I am so grateful for that. Life could be so much worse, you know?
Bless you Mel. You sure bless many many others!

We can never blame Him for the pain that we are suffering. I agree with Dhemz, the best thing to do is ask his healing power. Ganyan din ako. Pasensya ka na Kuya for not visiting often.

Hi Shiela,
Thank you so much for the compliment but as always, TO GOD BE THE GLORY. I do not think much of what will happen or how I will end up with. I already surrendered my life to the Lord and I just obey His bidding. Thanks again for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Rose,
Yes, God will never harm us although He sometimes allow us to suffer for His own sovereign purpose. I'm not connected with Odesk.com. My son recommended that to me but just like you, I found them a little complicated. It's great that you have more time for EJ for I'm sure that he wants to study too as soon as he can. Mabuti yun at nasasanay na sila sa kahalagahan nang pagaaral. You're a good mother and a good motivator. I know you can handle all situations well. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

I have dealt with extremem arthritic pain for several years. It wa s very depressing at times , but I neve r lost hope in God 's healing. I kept praying and asking others to pray for me an d I have been heale d to a great extent.

There was a time I could not take a step without my cane , but now I can walk cane free.

God used my pain to know Him better and to be care giver.

Hi Sam,
Yes, migraines are really terrible and nauseating. We can just pray to God that He gives us divine healing and comfort. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Hi Rose,
I appreciate your visit and your concern. Thank you so much. God bless you all always.

Arthritis is part of growing old since our bones get brittle. We need a lot of calcium and lots of exercise so that the calcium will be consumed in our bodies. It's great that people prayed for your healing. It's comforting to know that people are praying for us. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Amrita,
The above comments is for you. Sorry, I was not able to mention your name in my answer to your comments.

Hi Imelda,
Yes, we must not blame God for our pain for the pain did not come from God although He allowed it to happen for His own sovereign purpose. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.

What kind of pain? Physical or emotional? I react differently to the two but I never blame God for any. I even cling to Him much closer.

Mel Avila Alarilla said...

Hi Bingkee,
We're talking here about physical pain. Yes, it's wise never to blame God for our pains. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
