My Mom read us various storyn bppks the best one was Shadow the Sheepdog by Enid Blyton.

I cried hearing it, when the dog got lost.

Hi Amrita,
Our mothers are the best story tellers ever. We grew up fascinated with their anecdotes of the world. Your mother is still alive but I'm sure you still miss the wonderful bed time stories she narrated to you when you were still a child. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Shy,
Well, we were too young then to remember the bedtime stories told to us by our mothers. But surely we have our own favorite bedtime stories that we tell our babies when we tuck them to bed to sleep. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Mama never told us a story during bed time then but growing up I love her real life stories na kinikwento nya while we are sleeping.

Thanks for the continued visit and comments Kuya while I was gone. I definitely missed blogging. Di ka pa ba nagstart writing tasks?

My mom did not read me stories but it was my father. He would read me stories every night. My favorite was "Three Little Pigs" " "The Elves and the Shoemaker" and "Goldilocks and the 3 Bears."
It was also my father who taught me how to read and that is why I learned how to read at age 4.

Hi Rose,
Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Hi Bingkee,
It seems that you were closer to your father than to your mother. Normally, it is the mother who loves to tell stories to their children like my mother and like my wife to our kids. That he was also the one who taught you how to read showed your real closeness to him. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Sad to say I don't have any to share. My mother died when I was in 1st grade. And I came from a big family of eight. So, I guess my mother doesn't have time to do it. Hey, Mel I have something for you in my blog. Please grab it if you have time. Thank you

Hi Sam,
Oh I'm sorry to hear that your mother died when you were still very young. Must have been tough going through life without your dearest mom. Yes, I will go over to your site. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

Hi Dhemz,
Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you all always.

waaaaaaa....dko talaga naalala...hahaha...parang wala kuya eh....siguro kinakantahan lang ako ni mama....lol!

ngee...I feel guilty about this "I'm sure nagkukwento ka rin nang sarili mong bed time stories kapag pinapatulog mo si Akesha. "

Mel Avila Alarilla said...

Hi Dhemz,
God bless you all always.

I actually can't remember my mom reading us bedtime stories, maybe she did, but I just cannot recall any of it..

Mel Avila Alarilla said...

Yes, you cannot remember them because you were still too small to remember but I'm sure you still remember the other stories your mother told you when you were a little bigger and could already remember. Mothers are great story teller and I missed the story telling of my own mom. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Mommy Liz,
I'm sorry, the above answer is for your comment. My mistake. God bless.
