Would You Help A Person Lying On The Street Who Was Robbed And Hurt By Robbers?
You encountered a person lying on the street almost dead because he was robbed and waylaid by a group of robbers. Will you help him or will you just pretend you did not see him and continue on your way? Please explain your answer.

I will definitely help the person but it would depend on which country I am. In here in Korea, you are not allowed to help injured people, the only thing you can do to help is through calling a police.
Have a blessed Monday Mr. Mel..
Hi John,
Yes, I see your point and calling the police to help the man is good enough. At least you have done your Christian duty of helping a person in need of help. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
Joops that is fascinating that Korea's laws say you can't help a person in that position. Here in Canada there used to be that law because if an injured person is moved the wrong way it could make their injuries worse. Now it has changed, there is a "good samaritan" protection law, because too many were dying because people would not help at all, for fear of being sued. There was a TV show about this recently called "What would you do"? Each week they have actors in different situations and see if the general public will help them or not. It is a real eye opener, restores faith in mankind, but sometimes makes you ashamed to be part of the same race as the one who is being cruel. I went to a large city 3 months ago, for the hearing my husband and I waited for to get him home for over 3 years. I was so very weak that I fell 3 times on the street, even while using a walker. I did not look like a criminal or homeless, I was dressed for court, but the native people of the city walked by as if I didn't exist. Each time, the person who ran to help me up and back into my hotel was an immigrant who knows what it's like to feel invisible and unequal. I was very ashamed of my race that day. I would go probably too far in trying to help someone in that situation, even if it caused me danger.
Blessings,
Sheila
oh, I'm happy to read the comments...I had gained some perspective:)) thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Of course, that's one of the greatest lessons that Jesus taught us to do---remember the Good Samaritan?
Hi Shiela,
I think the best situation if there are indeed laws against unnecessarily moving an injured person is to call an ambulance and the cops too. John is right in saying that you just call the authorities since they are professionally trained to respond to this kind of situation. Thanks for your visit and invaluable point of view. I really appreciate that. God bless you always.
Hi Shawie,
Sometimes we have to use wisdom and foresight before we rush to help. The views of John and Shiela are indeed eye openers that all of us can use in similar situations. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
Hi Bingkee,
That is nice quoting about the good Samaritan example in the Bible. Actually, that was the inspiration for the question in this post. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
Hi Kuya just a quickie visit to thank you for your warmth bday greetings and wishes.. Ingat po!
About the question mo nga pala about laing, yes I can but unfortunately di available dito sa korea eh.. miss ko na nga magluto ng laing... Sa states pwede kang bumili ng dried leaves ng taro kaso dito wala..
Hi Rose,
I really love laing especially if cooked by a true blooded Bicolana. Did your husband and children already tasted laing? I'm sure they will love it. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
I would surely help. I can 't turmn away.
In India there is a lot of red tape involved in a situation like this. Police reports andthe courts etc.But one has to pay the price.
Hi Amrita,
Yes, as a Christian you can't help but extend assistance to a wounded
person lying on the street. But probably, the best recourse would be to contact the proper authorities who have the expertise in treating this kind of situation. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
i'd call the police for help. i cannot just ignore what i saw.
Hi sis Pia,
Very practical indeed. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
