Of course, I'd listen to him and tell him that he's got a friend in me. I also tell him about the life I have had and I had encountered the most miserable moments in my life yet I did not give up hope.
I will also tell him that there are so many out there who have problems bigger than his own and yet they live seeing a ray of hope and sunshine because life does not end in just those problems. Problems don't go away at most times, but we have hope and a strength derived from God that help us enable to go through such problems.

Hi Kuya Mel, the best thing to encourage the person not to do it is through telling him that life is so beautiful to end it that way. That God has so many plans for us and committing a suicide is not an option.

I would definitely dissuade a person from committing suicide. Try to reason and help in any way I can.Sometimes it is a psychological or spiritual problem , physical ailment or poverty or hopelessness. which leads to it.

In our country suicide, attempt to suicide or abetting suicide are all crimes.

Hi Ryliej,
Yes that would be an appropriate statement to a person contemplating on jumping a bridge to end his life. Sometimes they just have no one to listen to their tales of woes and having somebody who talks with them with sympathetic ears can soothe their ruffled feelings. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Rose,
She's working at Las Vegas in a housing and insurance company. It might take a longer time for all of us to go there since her papers are not yet in order. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.

Hi Amrita,
I'm sure that you will always dissuade any person who will attempt to commit suicide. Whether it's a crime or not, it is against God's laws to commit suicide. Thanks for your visit and comments. God bless you always.
