I like rich and powerful over poor and starving any day. I can be lonely whether rich or poor, so might as well be rich.

I would rather be happy, and if that meant poor and starving, then I choose that path..!

hirap naman nun, starving tapos happy. if i'm someone who lives all my herself, i think it's okay that i starve. but i have family and being at peace and happy meant that i have something to offer in the table.

it's not whether you have enough wealth or not, it's what you decide to do with what you have that will make you happy.

i'd rather be poor and starving BUT HAPPY!!

Money and power can't buy happiness. Sad people die young. who's gonna benefit the money they earned then?

I think I would be lonely if I was poor and starving, so I 'd choose the other option.

At lease I would be in a position to help others that would make me friends and give me happiness

Hi Caca,
Don't you know that most rich and powerful people are not happy. They are insecured about losing their wealth and power so they cling to them no matter what. You may be poor and starving but you can be contented by living a simple and decent life with your loved ones. Happiness is a matter of attitude. Thanks for your viewpoint my young friend. As for you, I think you are young and beautiful and happy. O kontento ka na? God bless you always my young friend.

Hi Wendy,
Yes, those who strive for money and power sometimes lose focus on the real value of life and they exchange riches and power for peace, happiness and contentment. As they strive for more, the more they become unhappy and discontented. And as they reach the end of the line, they sadly find out that all their riches and power will be left behind when they go to the grave. Thanks for your valuable viewpoint sister. Take care of yourself and your baby. God bless you and your loved ones always my friend.

Hi Amrita,
Good if you are a Christian and have the welfare of the poor in your heart when you attain riches and power but alas, those who strive for them have no humane intentions in their hearts. They quest for riches and power for the material happiness and power that they bring and most of the time they compromise their life's principles to attain their material goals. In the end they lose contact with mankind and immerse themselves in their material wealth and power. The Bible said, "it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of the needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God" and also, "for where your heart is, there will be your treasure also."
I hope you get your wealth and power so that you can really help the poor and the downtrodden. Thanks for your valuable viewpoint my friend. God bless you always.

I'm with Doug. I've been poor and lonely, so I might as well be rich and happy. Besides, I'd use my money to do good things for others which would make me even happier.

If you're rich and powerful, yet still feeling lonely and unhappy, then you aren't using your wealth appropriately. I'd rather be rich and powerful, but I wouldn't be unhappy because I would be doing as much as I could to help others. That's the true road to happiness - for Christians and non-Christians alike. Besides, I have the poor thing mastered (grin). It would be nice to try something different.
